One hour wait for just a starter ended up leaving without eating or paying for them. Staff were running around clearly poor management in not foreseeing you will be busy on a Saturday.. pretty much common sense for hospitality.

I just want to thank Nat for her wonderful service she provided. Nat was very friendly professional and courteous. The outlay was brilliant and very nice especially and clean, lovely little alcoves. We have only been there once before and we enjoyed it then. She explained everything we needed to know , as we had our elderly mother with us and made a few suggestions about her meal which was spot on. The meal was very nice we all enjoyed it and was very reasonably priced for four people . Nothing was too much trouble. We will be returning and if you have not been there we recommend you should go you will not be disappointed. 😀

A great place ,you are made to feel really welcome .food is a little pricey but well worth it, we do go here quite often and never had an issue ..👍

Me and family visited here today at 5:30 and very happy with the whole experience. Welcoming staff as we came in, Brilliant food and great selection of drinks. Me and my partner both had the pie and it was delicious! It was lovely and warm in there. We will be coming back!

Great find on a Friday night, went for a beer and found they did an Indian grill
Excellent tikka thighs, chicken balti, and naan breads were perfect

First visit and was really impressed! Lovely vegetable Wellington, beautiful filling. Starter of garlic mushrooms was a hit too! Great service.

Fabulous experience, from service to food. nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Leah even helped us with an IT issue on our phone and Jakub was very friendly and attentive. We were a party of 6, all with our own requirements which were met perfectly.

My partner and I enjoyed the most wonderful Valentines meal at the Anchor last night. Despite it being busy due to the special occasion, the food came out quickly and all the staff were really attentive throughout the evening. The food was delicious! I had the sea bass as a main and my partner the steak, we both had the chocolate trio for dessert. All came beautifully presented and generous portions too! We will most certainly be returning very soon, huge thanks to Mike & team! 🥰

Stopped here on our way home, impromptu stop off for lunch. Friendly welcome and we were offered a choice of tables to sit at. Table service and a good choice from the menu. Food was excellent and was served in good time. It was fresh and plentiful. Chicken pie, fish & chips and Gammon and eggs were all served with chips and veg.

We dined on Valentines day evening. "Nat" our server was lovely and very attentive. The food was excellent value for money. The sea bass main was a little disappointing but overall an excellent meal was had

Myself and partner enjoyed the valentines treat menu here this afternoon! It was a spontaneous trip/meal and we hadn’t booked but as it was 3pm they managed to find us a table!
The service from waitress Victoria was brilliant, she made us feel very welcome and was great at her job. Here there and everywhere!
The food was delicious, and good value for three courses £30! I had the pork belly for main -so tasty and the trio of desserts was beautiful.
Thank you so much we had a lovely valentines! It was our first time visiting but it won’t be our last!

Came on Sunday was extremely busy however the service was great. Waited 5 mins in the bar area with a drinks before being shown to our table and didn't have to wait long considering how busy they were for food to arrive condiering we were a large table. The chicken pie was amazing, highly recommend. Staff were very helpful and friendly and great to see the pub is dog friendly too.
